Time flies by

Since last I posted, I've completed 6 graduation videos,  cleaned my house from top to bottom for grandma and grandpa's arrival, got the lawn and yard spiffed up  and looking pretty (thanks Bert, mom and dad for all the mowing digging, planting...), planned and pulled off probably the best party I've ever thrown (thank you weather Gods, my family and co-hosts for such awesome help!), watched my son graduate, got some relatives together that hadn't been together for a while and a little extra work thrown in just for good measure!
Here are the highlights:

smile, work it, let see it...good!

A company email was sent out explaining that all of us radio personalities had to have a professional photo done so our mugs could hang in the lobby...ugh, really?  One of the reasons we are in radio is that no one can see us!  Unlike TV, we don't have to look good to sound good and we can wear our jammies and bunny slippers and no one is ever the wiser (unless there's the dreaded web cam).  There is also an old saying, "got a face for radio," which (politely) means you don't have to be model perfect to do the job...whew!

But being presentable out in public is part of the job, so off we go to Harper Point Studios in Fort Collins, Colorado.  http://www.harperpoint.com/htmlver/index.php

Turns out we clean up well and really not a bad looking group of people, so here are a couple of pictures from the shoot:

More door art

Some artists get commissioned to create beautiful sculptures in famous parks...my venue? Studio doors in a corporate office! We have 8 studios lined up along a corridor and it's sometimes hard to know which is which. Ever since I started here 2 1/2 years ago, I've put stuff on the Big Country door www.bigcountry979.com). Now I've been commissioned to "summer up" the KISS FM (http://www.kissfmcolorado.com/) studio door for the Say Hello To Summer Bash 3 concert coming up on May 27th.
So off to Michael's I went to look for summer fun that would liven up their door. I found it with the help of my friend Tami-Princess Of Bargains-complete with glitter visors, fun foam and Jolees stickers (all on clearance-making us even more giddy!)
Here is the completed project:

Ketchup time

Wow, it's been a while since I posted, time to "ketchup."

Since we last spoke, I've hosted a successful after prom event-not single-handedly of course-I'm just the decorator! We have a great group of parent volunteers. Here is what all the flip flops looked like in their native environment.

Senior Beach is where all the flip flops relaxed while waiting for their owner to find them
